The police claim that the robbers stole the money from an ATM in Sagamu.

The Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday said it returned the sum of N6.9 million stolen on Sunday by armed robbers from an Automated Teller Machine in Sagamu area of Ogun State to the bank.

The police boss did not mention the bank affected.

The state’s Police Commissioner, Okoye Ikemefuna, said this while parading a batch of 24  suspects for various offences at Eleweran Police Headquarters in Abeokuta.

Mr. Okoye said that the Command recorded success in crime control in the outgoing month adding that the police will continue to give criminals no breathing space.

He stated that most of the suspects paraded were involved in armed robbery cases and that ammunitions were recovered from them. Read more from PREMIUM TIMES
