Man Killed By JTF Police officer, in Port-Harcourt

Mr. Donbraye was killed by a police officer attached to the JTF in Port-Harcourt while trying to mediate in an ensuing misunderstanding between the officers and his colleagues within their office premises.

The incident is said to have occurred on 11-12-13 when some workers of Lunberg Services Ltd located behind Coca Cola in Port-Harcourt, Trans-Amadi went to buy diesel for the office generator. as they were bringing the diesel rubber cans into the office premises, some JTF police officers who had trailed them from the filling station to the office premises began harassing them (for buying the diesel in cans).

Being a high ranking employee at hand, Donbraye Akangbou came out of the office to mediate on the issue at hand.

After much mediation, one of the police officers got impatient because he thought they were not going to grease his palms with money and decided to take brutal actions on the workers.

Reports say the yet to be identified police officer had wanted to use the butt of his gun to hit one of the employees when the gun went off and shot Donbraye in the stomach at close range.

He was rushed to a hospital close by – BMH A & E, and as usual the hospital delayed to treat him because it was a gun shot wound and they needed a police report. And Donbraye died an hour. later

Investigations reveals he got married on the 25th of June 2013 and his wife is three months pregnant!
