The mobile police officer who was seen misbehaving in an explosive video that went viral recently, Nasir Muhammed is in detention cell at the headquarters of Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja.

The victims, who are also witnesses in the incident have also been invited by the police and their statements taken for investigation.

President of the Women Arise, Joe Okei-Odumakin told 9ralife that she saw the officer on Sunday evening when she visited the Police Command in Ikeja. Okei-Odumakin said she led the victims to the Lagos Police PRO, Ms. Ngozi Braide upon request by the Police Force. The victims’ statements as regards the incident was taken by the Police upon their visit yesterday.

Odumakin said the erring officer, Mr. Nasir Muhammed was brought out with other detainees in their detention cell and the victims immediately identified him among others.

According to her, the police may be filing charges against the rash officer. She added that the Force has requested for Doctor’s report from the tortured victim in order to determine the extent of injury on her.

Also, she said the Lagos PPRO mentioned that another officer, Danladi at the Lion Building on the Island, who took the statements of the victims at the first instance that they were detained after the incidence would be equally investigated.

Like in the case of Ejigbo torture and pepper sodomy which is still on, the female activist said she would follow this matter to a logical end.
